Small Product Assembly - blanks smaller than 5" x 7"

These instructions are for SMALL products (the blank is smaller than 5" x 7".)
For large products (5" x 7" and larger), follow our instructions for Large Product Assembly.

For perfect products everytime, follow these simple steps:

1.  PREP

Supplies needed:  Computer with art preparation software (such as CorelDraw, Photoshop, etc.), DIY art templates and backgrounds (available for free), DIY print film.

Prepare your graphic a little larger than your DIY blank to allow for  a "bleed" (where the printed color goes beyond the edge of the blank) and to allow space for easy trimming.  We recommend 1/8"  for small items. Example: the art for a 1" x 3" badge would be designed as 1.125" x 3.125"

Print

Supplies needed:  Inkjet printer and DIY super-white print film.

Print on the matte (not shiny) side of the super-white film. Use the "matte presentation paper" setting on your printer.

Position

Supplies needed:  clean, dust-free cutting board, masking tape, clean hands.

Tape the artwork onto the cutting board, if necessary.   Place the DIY blank on top of the artwork to double check sizing and positioning.

Peel Clear Liner

Peel the CLEAR liner off the adhesive side of the StikyPic blank.  Don't touch the adhesive once the liner has been removed.

2. APPLY

Apply

Carefully apply the blank to the clean dust free print, pressing the blank firmly onto the film.

3. TRIM

Cut & Trim

Supplies needed:  sharp hobby knife.

Carefully cut evenly around the blank using a sharp hobby knife.  Take your time!

4. BURNISH

Supplies needed:  soft plastic burnisher.

Burnish the film with the soft plastic burnisher.  DIY print film is made for smooth, consistent application.

Peel Brown Liner

Peel the BROWN protective liner from the front of the blank. Examine to see if further burnishing is required. Rub out any air bubbles with your thumbs.

Add Hardware

Supplies needed: finishing hardware (supplied with each DIY blank) -- magnets or pins for name badges, bumpers for coasters, hangers for ornaments, wood for plaques, and stand-offs for frameless picture frames.

All hardware comes with strong adhesive; position carefully as they cannot be removed once applied.

Present and Profit!

Supplies needed: DIY black velvet presentation pouches (for plaques) or gift boxes (included with crystals).

Wrap for shipping and presenting.
